Gateley IP is a dedicated patent and trade mark attorney group within Gateley, helping businesses to protect, commercialise and enforce their intellectual property. As part of this dynamic team, you’ll see how strategic IP advice – covering patents, trade marks, designs, and brand protection – underpins business growth and innovation across sectors.
Starting out, you’ll support real client projects assisting in patent drafting, trade mark applications, portfolio reviews, or brand-value mapping. You might work alongside inventors in biotech, engineers, or marketing teams, helping to shape strategies that align legal protection with commercial goals. Every task gives you a new insight into the world of innovation and protection.
From day one, you’ll be supported by experienced patent and trade mark attorneys – many with science or engineering backgrounds. We believe in learning by doing, with the right guidance along the way. That’s why mentoring, structured training, and clear professional development are all built into your journey with us. You’ll be working towards becoming a chartered patent attorney (CPA and/ or EPA qualified), and we’ll be right there with you helping you prepare for your exams and grow your confidence.
